Energy output charts are conservative. I have seen the generator produce 5000watts before in high wind shutdown.
Safety features: High wind shutdown @ 60mph to prevent blade damage
Underwriters Laboratory (UL) approved grid monitoring to detect voltage a frequency
Fluctuation in the grid electricity the braking system engages and electricity output is stopped.
This protects the grid company lineman. Lineman assuming the power is off.
Braking system: Advanced electromagnetic braking system. The magnet is released & the turbine can spin when grid power is detected.
Without consistent correct grid power the magnet is engaged and the turbine is resisted from spinning.
ICE & HEAT: Skystream has been tested in all extreme weather conditions. The extreme cold with no ice buildup due to the poly surface of the blade and the centrifugal force of the blade operating. Extreme heat without any overheating
